Prescott & Mackay 'Made in Britain' Factory Tour Series: DENTS Factory Tour

Our unique factory tour provides you with the best opportunity to explore the legendary craftsmanship at some of the most respected fashion manufacturing bases in the UK, which were usually not open to the public.

With a history that can be traced back to 1777, DENTS who insists on artisan hand-cutting and stitching, has worldwide fame in fine leather accessories manufacturing. DENTS made the Coronation Glove for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Content:

12pm: Students will be welcomed by our tutor at Warminster railway station, followed by an introduction to the leather industry and a brief outline of the visit.

1pm-4pm: Visit of DENTS. Students will be guided by one of our tutors and a staff member from the heritage label:

• learn about special leather types used for gloves and their origins
• see how DENTS gloves are manufactured including material selection, cutting, stitching, quality control and discover more about British traditional craftsmanship
• visit the Dents Design Room
• visit the Dents Archive - the Gloves Museum
• visit the Dents factory shop
• enjoy tea and refreshments at Dents and network with like-minded people

The visit ends at approximately 4pm and at 5pm students will be picked up and taken back to Warminster train station. However, students can leave earlier than 5pm if they prefer. The distance between Dents and the station can be seen via this map.

The Students and Early Bird Discounts are not applicable for this visit.

Travel expenses to Warminster, where the Dents factory is located, are not included in the course fee. Students are advised to arrange their own travel to and from Warminster Railway Station. Transport between Dents and the train station is covered in the fee.
