Two-Day Sandal Making, weekday

During this one-day class, students make a pair of flat 'Roman' style sandals in vegetable tanned leather, to fit their own measurements.

The process covers pattern cutting and a variety of traditional leather-craft techniques including hand stitching and scything, edge polishing, beveling and finishing.

Sebastian developed his craft in his native Australia where he studied traditional shoemaking and leather-craft techniques. He specialises in bespoke and made-to-order footwear for men and women which requires a high level of craftsmanship, materials of superior quality and painstaking attention to detail. Sebastian works with some of the most renowned names in footwear including James Taylor Bespoke Shoemakers and Georgian Goodman Couture.

Course Fee

£259 inc VAT.

Includes a basic selection of vegetable tanned leather in either black, red or brown. You are welcome to bring your own if you have a particular colour in mind. Please let us know if you need advice with sourcing this.

Do I need any previous experience to attend a Sandal Making class?
No experience is necessary to attend but the class involves a lot of hand work so be prepared for that if you aren’t used to working with your hands.
