Two-Day Beginners Shoemaking, weekday
Duration: 14 hours
Class times: 10am till 6pm
Scheduled with a choice of weekend or weekday classes in the UK and weekend classes in San Francisco, this two day course is aimed at those new to shoemaking, looking to learn the basics. Students cover the fundamental techniques of shoemaking allowing them to complete a hand-lasted pair of ladies mules by the end of a session.
Patterns are provided and the emphasis is on the making rather than design but the choice of shoes, either with a two inch heel or a flatie are very contemporary and they can be made in your own standard size (British 2 to 9, European 35 to 42, American 5.5 to 11.5) and from a variety of finishes, fabric or leather.

What the Tutor says about this course
I can't tell you how many shoe-a-holics I've met. I guess that explains why everyone goes away having made such great shoes - they're created with passion!

What students are saying about this course
I haven't had so much fun for ages. The teaching atmosphere was wonderful and I came away having made a pair of shoes I couldn't wait to show off. I couldn't believe I'd made them myself and nor could anyone else!
Caroline Morgan, Preston
the two-day shoemaking course was brilliant, I had never made anything before and believed that I had no creative skills whatsoever. However, I succeeded in making a pair of fantastic shoes and realised that I have a hidden talent! Thankyou...

Many of the women and men who've given it a go so far have come from entirely unrelated fields (and we have to say they tend to be the best at it!).
