This section deals with conditions relating to the sale of courses by Prescottandmackay.co.uk to you.

1. Confirmation
Course bookings or product purchases made via our website, email, telephone, in person or post are deemed to constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions by all parties including both the purchaser and course attendee/s. When you place an order to book a course from Prescottandmackay.co.uk, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to book a course which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Course Confirmation E-mail to you. All bookings and purchases will be considered provisional until funds have cleared.

2. Payment
To be made in full upon booking by credit/debit card through our secure payment provider SAGE. We do not accept payment in cash.

3. Prices, dates and times
These are correct at time of going to press but may be subject to change without notice.

4. Cancellations
UK Courses : Courses of two days in duration and less: Prescott & Mackay must receive at least 14 days notice prior to commencement of the course from students wishing to cancel. Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

Courses greater than two days in duration including Evening Classes: Prescott & Mackay must receive 28 days notice prior to commencement of a course from students wishing to cancel.

USA Courses: Prescott & Mackay must receive at least one month notice prior to commencement of the course from students wishing to cancel.

No refunds on cancellations within these stated periods will be issued. No additional compensation will be paid and course attendees are strongly advised to seek their own insurance.

5. Change of dates
Courses of two days in duration and less: Students wishing to change their course date must give at least two weeks notice prior to commencement of the course in which case an alternative date will be arranged.

Courses of greater than two days duration including Evening Classes: Students wishing to change their course date must give at least 28 days notice prior to commencement of the course in which case an alternative date will be arranged.

No additional compensation will be paid and course attendees are strongly advised to seek their own insurance.

6. Fittings
All shoes are made to standard fittings unless otherwise agreed between the student and Prescott & Mackay.

7. Force majeure
If a course/holiday has to be cancelled by Prescott & Mackay for whatever reason, applicants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of all monies paid except for the gift vouchers. Please refer to the terms and conditions for gift vouchers below. No additional compensation will be paid and course attendees are strongly advised to seek their own insurance.

8. Availability
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. In cases where Prescott & Mackay is unable to book applicants on their first, an alternative date will be offered.

1. Our contract

When you place an order to purchase a product from Prescottandmackay.co.uk, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract.

2. Delivery of goods

We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address stated on your order. Prescott & Mackay Ltd is entitled to make deliveries by instalments or partial deliveries and may occasionally need to do so. Please note that the dispatching time will vary and all dates quoted for delivery are estimated only, may be subject to change. They are not guaranteed dispatch times and should not be relied upon as such.  We will endeavor to inform the customers the soonest dispatching time as early as possible. We can accept no liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) for delivery at any time other than the estimated date for delivery.

3. Returns

Customers in the European Union are entitled to a statutory cooling-off period of seven business days. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it in its original condition within 7 days of the date you received the item, and you will receive a full refund for the price you paid for the item if we are notified in writting within 7 days from receipt of items purchased.  The return policy for specific products: books should be new and unused; tools and equipments should be new and unopened with original label attached; leather should be uncut and unmarked.

We reserve the right to refuse returns or to charge you our fees and expenses if the product is received otherwise than in accordance with these requirements. This does not affect your statutory rights. We will notify you via e-mail when we have processed your return--this may take up to three weeks. On the date the refund is completed, we'll send you an e-mail message confirming the date, amount and payment details.

The postage fee is non-refundable. You'll need to pay the return postage costs if the return isn't the result of an error on our part.

Purchasers of Shoemaking Kits must notify Prescott & Mackay within 7 days of receipt if there are any missing items or discrepancies with their order.

We will not refund the purchase of lasts as they are made in the correct size and style for each student.  This does not effect your statutory rights.

4. Pricing and availability

We list availability information for products sold by us on the website, including on each product information page. Beyond what we say on that page or otherwise on the website, we cannot be more specific about availability. As we process your order, we will inform you by e-mail if any products you order turn out to be unavailable.

All prices are listed in GBP.  All displayed prices are inclusive of UK VAT at the appropriate rate unless stated otherwise.

Availability guide:

Products with quantity in its page: The item is available; we expect to prepare it for dispatch within a few days. Be sure to check your emails for the latest delivery estimate.

Temporarily Out of Stock: this item is currently not in stock but it is available for ordering. If you place an order, we will send you an e-mail with the expected delivery date as soon as we have that information from our suppliers.

Currently Unavailable: This item is currently not available for ordering, and we don't know when or if this item will be in stock again.

5. Customs

When ordering goods from Prescottandmackay.co.uk for delivery overseas you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from Prescottandmackay.co.uk, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
 

6. Losses and events beyond our reasonable control

Prescott & Mackay Ltd shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
